Join us for a weekly series of in-depth explorations of select works of art on view in Scenes from the Collection, the Museum’s rotating collection exhibition featuring nearly 600 works from antiquities to contemporary art — many of which are on view for the first time.

Explore works of art by New York School artists in the collection with Nelly Silagy Benedek, Senior Director of Education. Discuss issues relating to symbolic pictorial language along with the critical response to paintings by Lee Krasner, Adolph Gottlieb, and Barnett Newman.

Included with Museum Admission; RSVP Recommended

Lee Krasner, Untitled, 1948. Oil on canvas. Gift of Craig and Caryn Effron.
