Dance to the award-winning reggae rhythms of Portland-based musician Aaron Nigel Smith as he shares a high energy concert inviting families to move, shake, and groove together. Hear tunes from his recent album In Our America offering positive messages and inspiration for everyday activism and including favorites of Bob Marley and other original songs which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Reggae Charts.

The Museum’s concert is presented in conjunction with the exhibition We Fight to Build a Free World: An Exhibition by Jonathan Horowitz.

This performance is Free with RSVP, one ticket per household.

While this concert is presented free with RSVP, we appreciate your support of family programs at the Jewish Museum. The optional purchase of one ticket per household helps support our online concert series and virtual art workshops and tours for families.

About the performer:

In 2002, Aaron founded FUNdamentals of Music and Movement, now the arts program of choice at more than 100 early-education centers nationwide. For the past 15 years, he has worked to educate, empower, and entertain youth and families around the world. He teaches chorus and drumming in Oregon and Washington through 1 World Chorus, Young Audiences, and the Right Brain Initiative. In 2009, he collaborated with Ziggy Marley on a Bob Marley children’s record, B is for Bob. Aaron joined the cast of the PBS Kids show Between the Lions in 2008.
